I am new to the PWC world and have looked at the Sea Doo RXT-X 255 and the Yamaha FX cruiser SHO. Any suggestions as to why I should purchase one over the other?

well do you want a craft thats motor is pushing its limits (rxt-x) although its in its 5th generation and parts are readily available....i loved the rxp-x when i rode it..

or a craft that once its unlocked has ENORMOUS motor potential (SHO) 1st generation might not be a good idea, but everyone ive rode with who has an SHO LOVES it..

do you need no wake mode and cruise control?

yamaha service ive heard is much better after the sale...

you really need to ride both and then decide,, its more personal preference, and what you plan to do down the road....
