Rick Sherker was named National High-Points Champion in the Expert Ski Limited class.
The Hydro-Turf APBA Watercross Nationals tour came to a completion in Nashville Tenn. on the weekend of August 29-31. Several National Champions were crowned after an amazing weekend of racing. Some familiar faces stepped forward to take first in their respective classes and other up-and-coming racers made their mark as well.

Rick Sherker had a strong showing in the Expert Ski Limited class with a second place finish in the race which put him on the podium for the National High-Points Championship in the class. Dustin Charrier had some tough races in the Expert Runabout Limited and Open classes but managed to walk away with the High-Points Championship in both classes.

The Pro-Am Ski GP class saw a familiar face take the National Championship with Chris MacClugage taking first in the class race. Eric Lagopoulos took the Championship home in the Pro-Am Runabout 800 Open class with Al Miller taking the prize in Pro-Am Runabout Stock and Leanne Falvey winning in Pro-Am Women’s Ski competition. Dustin Farthing rounded out the Pro-Am class winners with his first-place finish in the Pro-Am Runabout Open.

Cory Cole had a strong showing coming out of the weekend with National High-Point Championships in both the Amateur Ski Open and Novice Ski Limited Classes. Amy Green raced to a National Championship in the Women’s Runabout Limited class while Drew Roush was crowned National Champion in both the Amateur Runabout 800 Limited and Stock classes.

Some younger races that caused quite a stir in the racing community were Josh Block taking the High-Points Championship in the Junior Ski 13-15 Limited and Stock classes and Tyler Smith, who took the top spot in the Junior Ski 10-12 Stock class.
